MANUFACTURING SHIPMENTS JULY 2020 (FLASH)

Month-over-month / Year-over-year

 

In  Canada July 2020, seasonally adjusted Manufacturing Shipments (flash estimate) increased 8.7 per cent to $53.0 billion over June 2020, and decreased 7.2 per cent over July 2019.

Manufacturing shipments (flash estimate) in July 2020 are 5.6 per cent below February 2020.

 

FLASH ESTIMATES

This flash estimate is a special product published in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic to provide Canadians with timely information on the manufacturing sector. The official estimate of manufacturing sales for the month of July, which will be based on a more complete set of survey and administrative data, is scheduled for release on September 15.

The percentage change is calculated using seasonally adjusted data and is expressed in current dollars.
