September 16, 2020EU AND EURO AREA TRADE BALANCE IN GOODS, JULY 2020 EURO AREA
In July 2020, the Euro Area (EA19) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with the rest of the world recorded a surplus of €27.9 billion.
- Euro Area exports increased €15.7 billion (9.3%) to €185.2 billion.
- Euro Area imports increased €8.0 billion (5.3%) to €157.3 billion.
EUROPEAN UNION
In July 2020, the European Union (EU27) Goods Trade (not seasonally adjusted) with the rest of the world recorded a surplus of €25.8 billion.
- European Union exports increased €14.6 billion (9.5%) to €168.5 billion.
- European Union imports increased €8.9 billion (6.6%) to €142.6 billion.
In July 2020 the European Union reported trade surpluses of:
- €8.8 billion with the United Kingdom
- €1.4 billion with Canada
- €16.2 billion with the US
