- Labour force increased 0.3% (+1,400) to 506,200
- Employment increased 0.5% (+2,500) to 465,200
- Unemployment decreased 2.6% (-1,100) to 41,000
- Unemployment Rate decreased 0.2 percentage points to 8.1%.
In Canada,
- Labour force increased 0.1% (+25,200) to 20,196,200
- Employment increased 1.4% (+259,200) to 18,531,200
- Unemployment decreased 12.3% (-233,900) to 1,665,100
- Unemployment Rate decreased 1.2 percentage points to 8.2%.
In Halifax, (3-month moving average)
- Labour force increased 1.2% (+3,000) to 261,200
- Employment increased 0.6% (+1,400) to 240,100
- Unemployment increased 8.8% (+1,700) to 21,100
