EU AND EURO AREA TRADE BALANCE IN GOODS, FEBRUARY 2021

EURO AREA (EA19 - Feb 2021 vs Jan 2021, not seasonally adjusted)

The Euro Area's goods trade with the rest of the word recorded a surplus of €17.7 billion. Euro Area exports increased €11.1 billion (6.6%) to €178.6 billion. Euro Area imports increased €4.5 billion (2.8%) to €161.0 billion.

EUROPEAN UNION (EU27 - Feb 2021 vs Jan 2021, not seasonally adjusted)

The European Union's goods trade with the rest of the world recorded a surplus of €21.1 billion. European Union exports increased €16.0 billion (10.7%) to €164.7 billion. European Union imports increased €3.4 billion (2.4%) to €143.6 billion.

TRADE PARTNERS (Feb 2021 vs Jan 2021, not seasonally adjusted)

The European Union's goods trade with:

  • the United Kingdom recorded a surplus of €11.2 billion
  • Canada recorded a surplus of €1.1 billion
  • the United States recorded a surplus of €13.7 billion
