In Nova Scotia,
- Labour force increased 2.2% (10,700) to 502,800.
- Employment increased 3.1% (13,800) to 457,500.
- Unemployment decreased 6.4% (3,100) to 45,300.
- Unemployment Rate decreased 0.8 percentage points to 9.0%.
In Canada,
- Labour force increased 0.8% (169,900) to 20,381,500.
- Employment increased 1.2% (230,700) to 18,789,900.
- Unemployment decreased 3.7% (60,700) to 1,591,600.
- Unemployment Rate decreased 0.4 percentage points to 7.8%.
In Halifax, (3-month moving average)*
- Labour force decreased 1.5% (3,800) to 255,500.
- Employment decreased 1.4% (3,200) to 232,900.
- Unemployment decreased 2.6% (600) to 22,600.
- Unemployment Rate decreased 0.1 percentage points to 8.8%

- Employment increased 8.1% (1,404,200)
