July 16, 2021EU AND EURO AREA TRADE BALANCE IN GOODS, MAY 2021 EURO AREA (EA19 - May 2021 vs Apr 2021, not seasonally adjusted)
The Euro Area's goods trade with the rest of the word recorded a surplus of €7.5 billion. Euro Area exports decreased €10.3 billion (-5.2%) to €188.2 billion.
Euro Area imports decreased €2.6 billion (-1.4%) to €180.7 billion.
EUROPEAN UNION (EU27 - May 2021 vs Apr 2021, not seasonally adjusted)
The European Union's goods trade with the rest of the world recorded a surplus of €7.9 billion. European Union exports decreased €6.5 billion (-3.6%) to €172.3 billion. European Union imports decreased €1.9 billion (-1.1%) to €164.4 billion
TRADE PARTNERS (May 2021 vs Apr 2021, not seasonally adjusted)
The European Union's goods trade with:
- the United Kingdom recorded a surplus of €10.8 billion,
- Canada recorded a surplus of €1.4 billion,
- the United States recorded a surplus of €12.4 billion.
