UK TRADE BALANCE, JUNE 2021

 

Month-over-month (Jun 2021 vs May 2021, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit widened by £2.4 billion to £2.5 billion. Exports of goods and services decreased 1.5% (£0.8 billion) to £48.7 billion and imports of goods and services increased 3.2% (£1.6 billion) to £51.3 billion.

The United Kingdom goods trade deficit widened by £2.4 billion to £12.0 billion. Exports of goods decreased 3.6% (£1.0 billion) to £27.4 billion and imports of goods increased 3.6% (£1.4 billion) to £39.4 billion.

The United Kingdom services trade surplus widened by £36.0 million to £9.5 billion. Exports of services increased 1.3% (£0.3 billion) to £21.3 billion and imports of services increased 2.0% (£0.2 billion) to £11.8 billion.

Year-over-year (Jun 2021 vs Jun 2020, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit changed from a surplus (£1.5 billion) to a deficit (£2.5 billion) and goods trade deficit widened by £4.7 billion and services trade surplus widened by £0.7 billion.

 

 

 

UNITED KINGDOM TRADING PARTNERS

Month-over-month (Jun 2021 vs May 2021, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit widened by £0.5 billion to £4.9 billion. Exports of goods decreased 0.021% (£3.0 million) to £14.3 billion and imports of goods increased 2.8% (£0.5 billion) to £19.2 billion.

The United Kingdom non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £1.9 billion to £7.1 billion. Exports of goods decreased 7.2% (£1.0 billion) to £13.1 billion and imports of goods increased 4.3% (£0.8 billion) to £20.2 billion.

Year-over-year (Jun 2021 vs Jun 2020, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.80 billion. Non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £5.5 billion.
