UK TRADE BALANCE, JULY 2021

 

Month-over-month (Jul 2021 vs Jun 2021, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit widened by £0.6 billion to £3.1 billion. Exports of goods and services decreased 0.1% (£28 million) to £48.7 billion, and imports of goods and services increased 1.1% (£0.6 billion) to £51.8 billion.

The United Kingdom goods trade deficit widened by £0.7 billion to £12.7 billion. Exports of goods decreased 1.0% (£0.3 billion) to £27.2 billion, and imports of goods increased 1.1% (£0.4 billion) to £39.9 billion.

The United Kingdom services trade surplus widened by £0.1 billion to £9.6 billion. Exports of services increased 1.2% (£0.2 billion) to £21.6 billion, and imports of services increased 1.1% (£0.1 billion) to £12.0 billion.

 

Year-over-year (Jul 2021 vs Jul 2020, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit widened by £2.0 billion.  The goods trade deficit widened by £2.7 billion, and the services trade surplus widened by £0.7 billion.

 

 

 

UNITED KINGDOM TRADING PARTNERS

Month-over-month (Jul 2021 vs Jun 2021, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit widened by £0.8 billion to £5.7 billion. The exports of goods decreased 6.5% (£0.9 billion) to £13.4 billion, and the imports of goods decreased 0.5% (£0.1 billion) to £19.1 billion.

The United Kingdom non-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.1 billion to £7.0 billion. The Exports of goods increased 5.0% (£0.7 billion) to £13.8 billion, and the imports of goods increased 2.7% (£0.5 billion) to £20.8 billion.

 

Year-over-year (Jul 2021 vs Jul 2020, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £1.1 billion,  and the non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £3.8 billion.
