EU AND EURO AREA RETAIL TRADE, NOVEMBER 2021

 

Month-over-month (Nov 2021 vs. Oct 2021, seasonally adjusted turnover value)

In the European Union, retail sales were up 1.3%. In the Euro Area, retail sales were up 1.2%.

 

Year-to-date (Jan-Nov 2021 vs. Jan-Nov 2020, seasonally adjusted turnover value)

In the European Union, retail sales were up 7.7%. In the Euro Area, retail sales were up 7.2%.  Where data is available, faster growth in retail sales occurred in Slovenia,  Lithuania  and  Romania.  Slower  growth was reported in Germany, Slovakia and, the Netherlands.

 

Note: Countries in the Euro Area are a subset of the countries in the European Union and contribute to the EU average.  Individual countries reported with green bars are in the European Union but not in the Euro Area
