UK TRADE BALANCE, NOVEMBER 2021

 

Month-over-month (Nov 2021 vs. Oct 2021, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom goods and services trade surplus widened by £0.5 billion to £0.6 billion. Exports of goods and services increased 4.6% (£2.5 billion) to £57.1 billion, and imports of goods and services increased 3.8% (£2.0 billion) to £56.4 billion.

The United Kingdom goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.5 billion to £11.3 billion. Exports of goods increased 8.5% (£2.5 billion) to £31.3 billion, and imports of goods increased 4.9% (£2.0 billion) to £42.7 billion.

The United Kingdom services trade surplus widened by £0.005 billion to £12.0 billion. Exports of services increased 0.2% (£0.1 billion) to £25.8 billion, and imports of services increased 0.4% (£0.1 billion) to £13.8 billion.

 

Year-over-year (Nov 2021 vs. Nov 2020, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom goods and services trade surplus changed from a deficit (£4.1 billion) to a surplus (£0.6 billion), goods trade deficit narrowed by £4.6 billion and services trade surplus widened by £0.1 billion.

 

 

 

UNITED KINGDOM TRADING PARTNERS

Month-over-month (Nov 2021 vs Oct 2021, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit widened by £0.7 billion to £5.7 billion. Exports of goods increased 1.0% (£0.1 billion) to £13.8 billion, and imports of goods increased 4.5% (£0.8 billion) to £19.4 billion.

The United Kingdom non-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £1.2 billion to £5.7 billion. Exports of goods increased 15.2% (£2.3 billion) to £17.6 billion, and imports of goods increased 5.2% (£1.1 billion) to £23.2 billion.

 

Year-over-year (Nov 2021 vs. Nov 2020, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £3.2 billion and non-EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £1.4 billion.
