UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, FEBRUARY 2022 TO APRIL 2022

The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three-month period February 2022 to April 2022 was 3.8%, up (+0.1 percentage points) from the previous three month period.

This is down from the 4.9% reported for the same months a year ago.

There were 1.3 million unemployed people, 355,797 fewer than for a year earlier.

Employment was at 32.71 million, 532,747 more compared to a year earlier.
