UK RETAIL SALES, MAY 2022

The UK Office for National Statistics reports that UK retail sales value increased but volume declined in May 2022.

 Month over month (May 2022 vs Apr 2022), Retail sales values increased 0.6% while the retail sales volume (adjusted for price changes) decreased 0.5%.

Year-over-year (May 2022 vs May 2021). Retail sales values increased 5.0% and retail sales volumes decreased 4.7%

Year-to-date (Jan-May 2022 vs Jan-May 2021). Retail sales values increased 10.7% and retail sales volumes increased 1.3%

Internet sales: Year-over-year (May 2022 vs Apr 2022). Internet Sales decreased 1.7%,  and online sales share of all retail sales declined to 26.6%.
