UK TRADE BALANCE, JUNE 2022

 

Month-over-month (June 2022 vs May 2022, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit widened by £2.3 billion to £11.4 billion, Eexports of goods and services decreased 4.2% (£2.5 billion) to £58.6 billion, and imports of goods and services decreased 0.4% (£0.3 billion) to £70.0 billion.

The United Kingdom goods trade deficit widened by £2.2 billion to £22.8 billion. Eexports of goods decreased 8.0% (£2.7 billion) to £31.2 billion, and imports of goods decreased 1.0% (£0.5 billion) to £54.0 billion.

The United Kingdom services trade surplus narrowed by £0.087 billion to £11.460 billion. Eexports of services increased 0.6% (£0.2 billion) to £27.5 billion, and imports of services increased 1.5% (£0.24 billion) to £16.0 billion.

Year-over-year (June 2022 vs June 2021, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom goods and services trade deficit widened by £8.7 billion, Goods trade deficit widened by £9.2 billion and services trade surplus widened by £0.6 billion.

 

 

 

UNITED KINGDOM TRADING PARTNERS

Month-over-month (June 2022 vs May 2022, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom EU goods trade deficit narrowed by £0.5 billion to £10.557 billion. Exports of goods decreased 3.9% (£0.7 billion) to £16.1 billion, and imports of goods decreased 4.2% (£1.2 billion) to £26.7 billion.

The United Kingdom non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £2.7 billion to £12.290 billion. Exports of goods decreased 11.9% (£2.0 billion) to £15.0 billion, and imports of goods increased 2.4% (£0.6 billion) to £27.3 billion.

 

Year-over-year (June 2022 vs June 2021, seasonally adjusted )

The United Kingdom EU  goods trade deficit widened by £4.3 billion and non-EU goods trade deficit widened by £4.9 billion.
