EU AND EURO AREA TRADE BALANCE IN GOODS, JULY 2022

EURO AREA (EA19 - July 2022 vs June 2022, not seasonally adjusted)

The Euro Area's goods trade with the rest of the word recorded a deficit of €34.0 billion. Euro Area exports decreased €15.9 billion (-6.3%) to €235.5 billion while the Euro Area's imports decreased €7.4 billion (-2.7%) to €269.5 billion.

                                                                                                                            

EUROPEAN UNION (EU27 - July 2022 vs June 2022, not seasonally adjusted)

The European Union's goods trade with the rest of the world recorded a deficit of €42.3 billion. European Union exports decreased €13.4 billion (-6.0%) to €211.6 billion while the European Union's imports were down €5.7 billion (-2.2%) to €253.8 billion

TRADE PARTNERS (July 2022 vs June 2022, not seasonally adjusted)

The European Union's goods trade with:

  • the United Kingdom recorded a surplus of €6.4 billion
  • Canada recorded a surplus of €1.5 billion
  • the United States recorded a surplus of €11.1 billion
