JAPAN CURRENT ACCOUNT AND TRADE BALANCE, OCTOBER 2022

 

                                                                                                                                               

Current Account (October 2022 vs September 2022)

The net current account changed from a surplus (671 billion yen) to a deficit (609 billion yen).

  • The net goods and services deficit widened by 319 billion yen to 2,721 billion yen.
  • The net primary income surplus narrowed by 811 billion yen to 2,397 billion yen.
  • The net secondary income deficit widened by 151 billion yen to 285 billion yen. 

 

Trade Balance (October 2022 vs September 2022)

The net goods deficit widened by 305 billion yen to 2,220 billion yen.

  • The goods exports increased 263 billion yen to 8,879 billion yen.
  • The goods imports increased 567 billion yen to 11,099 billion yen.

 

The net services deficit widened by 14 billion yen to 501 billion yen.
