December 14, 2022UK CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, NOVEMBER 2022 
UK Consumer Price Index including owner-occupiers' housing costs (CPIH) rose by 9.3% in November 2022, compared with November 2021. The largest contributions to rising UK inflation came from housing and household services (principally from electricity, gas and other fuels), food and non-alcoholic beverages. The largest downward contributions to CPI and CPIH came from transport (motor fuels).
Year-over-year growth in the UK Consumer Price Index (CPI) was 10.7% in November 2022, down from the record high rate of 11.1% in recorded in October 2022.
Rising food prices also made a large upward contribution to counter transport's downward contribution to the monthly inflation rate.
