August 13, 2024UK UNEMPLOYMENT RATE, APRIL TO JUNE 2024 
The UK Office for National Statistics reported today that the unemployment rate for the three-month period April to June 2024 declined to 4.2%. This was unchanged from the same period a year ago.
There were 1.435 million unemployed people in the UK, 25,000 less than from a year earlier. Employment in the UK was at 33.094 million, 69,000 less compared to a year earlier. UK labour force decreased by 94,000 over the past year to 34.529 million.
