Consumer prices in Nova Scotia increased 2.8% year-over-year in March 2021. This was over the national average of a 2.2% increase. In Halifax, consumer prices were up 2.6% in March 2021.
Excluding food and energy (index 2002=100)
Nova Scotia consumer prices excluding food and energy increased 1.2% year-over-year and the national average was up 0.9%.

Consumer prices in Nova Scotia increased 0.7% month-over-month in March 2021, above the national average of 0.5% increase. In Halifax, prices were up 0.6% from the previous month.
Excluding food and energy (index 2002=100)
Nova Scotia consumer prices excluding food and energy increased 0.2% in March 2021 at the same rate as the national average of 0.2%.
