Linwood Beach Designation
made under subsection 5(1) of the
Beaches Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 4th day of July, A.D., 1975, pursuant to subsection (1) of Section 5 of Chapter 6 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1975, the Beaches Preservation and Protection Act, is pleased to designate as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of Linwood Beach, in the County of Antigonish, Province of Nova Scotia, as shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Office Plan No. E-10-11, and described in Schedule “A”, both attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.
Schedule “A”
Beginning at an iron post, situated at the southerly edge of the travelled way of a public road leading to Linwood Beach (so-called) and the mean high watermark of Little Tracadie Harbour as shown on Plan E-10-11 on file in the Crown Land Records office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax;
From thence (by grid bearings) S 42° 49' 26" W, 100 feet to a point;
Thence in a northwesterly direction along a line being and intended to be parallel with and 100 feet landward from the mean high watermark to a point;
Thence N 42° 49' 26" E, 50 feet to an iron post, said iron post being N 47° 10' 34" W, 1968.06' from the place of beginning;
Thence continuing N 42° 49' 26" E, 50 feet to the mean high watermark;
Thence following the mean high watermark in a southeasterly direction to the place of beginning.
