North Harbour Beach Designation
made under subsection 5(1) of the
Beaches Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32
O.I.C. 92-1189 (December 8, 1992), N.S. Reg. 256/92
The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated the 18th day of November, A.D., 1992, pursuant to Section 5(1) of Chapter 32 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Beaches Act, is pleased to designate as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high watermark of North Harbour Beach, Aspy Bay, in the County of Victoria, as described in Schedule “A” and shown outlined in bold line on the copy of Provincial Crown Lands Record Centre Plan No. E-15-33 marked Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.
Schedule “A”
All those certain lots, pieces, or parcels of land situate, lying and being at North Harbour Beach, in the County of Victoria, Province of Nova Scotia shown as Lot No. 1 and Lot No. 2 on a Plan of Survey (Field Plot No. P-106/92) signed on the 26th day of August A.D., 1992 by Athol C. Grant, Nova Scotia Land Surveyor and filed in the Provincial Crown Lands Record Centre, Dartmouth, as Plan No. E-15-33, the said two lots of land being more particularly described as follows:
Lot 1
Beginning at Survey Marker V3855 situate (by grid azimuths referenced to the Nova Scotia 3° Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 4, Central Meridian 61° 30' West Longitude) 171° 51' 21", a distance of 702.339 metres from Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument (NSCM) No. 15792 having coordinate values of 5 201 833.458 metres in northings and 4 578 929.560 metres in eastings;
Thence (from the place of beginning) 184° 38' 12", a distance of 612.925 metres to Survey Marker V3854;
Thence southerly, easterly and northerly along a brook and mean high water mark of North Harbour, and Aspy Bay, a distance of 4610 metres more or less to a point;
Thence 274° 38' 12", a distance of 20 metres more or less to the place of beginning.
Above lot of land containing an area of 27 hectares more or less.
Lot 2
Beginning at Survey Marker V3853 situate (by grid azimuths referenced to the Nova Scotia 3° Modified Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 4, Central Meridian 61° 30' West Longitude) 311' 52' 43", a distance of 4864.456 metres from Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument (NSCM) No. 15681 having coordinate values of 5 193 434.029 metres in northings and 4 583 259.726 metres in eastings;
Thence (from the place of beginning) 267° 45' 17", a distance of 190.417 metres to Survey Marker V3852;
Thence 340° 46' 43", a distance of 178.779 metres to Survey Marker V3851;
Thence 340° 46' 43", a distance of 2 metres more or less to a point being on the mean high water mark of North Harbour.
Thence northerly, easterly and southerly along North Harbour, Aspy Bay, and Dingwall Harbour, a distance of 4450 metres more or less to a point;
Thence 357° 45' 17", a distance of 2 metres more or less to the place of beginning.
Above lot of land containing an area of 29 hectares more or less.
