South Harbour Beach Designation
made under subsection 5(1) of the
Beaches Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 32
O.I.C. 92-1190 (December 8, 1992), N.S. Reg. 257/92
The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated the 18th day of November, A.D., 1992, pursuant to Section 5(1) of Chapter 32 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Beaches Act, is pleased to designate as a beach an area of land lying landward from the mean high water mark of South Harbour Beach, Aspy Bay, in the County of Victoria, as described in Schedule “A” and shown outlined in bold line on the copy of Provincial Crown Lands Record Centre Plan No. E-15-34 marked Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation.
Schedule “A”
All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land and land covered by water situate, lying and being at South Harbour Beach, in the County of Victoria, Province of Nova Scotia shown on Plan of Survey (Field Plot P-107/92) signed on the 25th day of August A.D. 1992 by Athol C. Grant, Nova Scotia Land Surveyor and filed in the Provincial Crown Lands Record Centre, Dartmouth, as plan No. E-15-34, the said lot of land and land covered by water being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Survey Marker V3840 situate (by grid azimuths referenced to the Nova Scotia 3° modified Transverse Mercator Projection, Zone 4, Central Meridian 61° 30' West Longitude) 303° 22' 50", a distance of 3084.139 metres from Nova Scotia Coordinate Monument (NSCM) No. 15681 having coordinate values of 5 193 434.029 metres in northings and 4 583 259.726 metres in eastings.
Thence (from the place of beginning) 173° 46' 58",a distance of 226.299 metres to Survey Marker V3839;
Thence 167° 26' 49", a distance of 107.698 metres to Survey Marker V3838;
Thence 203° 32' 02", a distance of 167.377 metres to Survey Marker V3837;
Thence 238° 32' 02", a distance of 200.000 metres to a point;
Thence 147° 07' 18", a distance of 1605.959 metres to a point;
Thence 66° 26' 47", a distance of 594.363 metres to Survey Marker V3836;
Thence 84° 45' 25", a distance of 268.026 metres to Survey Marker V3835;
Thence 318° 30' 45", a distance of 2237.307 metres to a point;
Thence 263° 46' 58", a distance of 12.000 metres to the place of beginning.
Above lot of land containing an area of 119.18 hectares more or less.
