Outside Member Transition Regulations
House of Assembly Management Commission Act
N.S. Reg. 134/2014 (July 10, 2014, effective September 5, 2014)
Citation
1 These regulations may be cited as the Outside Member Transition Regulations.
Interpretation
2 Words and expressions in these regulations have the same meaning as in the House of Assembly Management Commission Regulations made under the House of Assembly Management Commission Act.
Member who is no longer outside member may claim moving expenses
3 (1) A member who, as an outside member, was renting an apartment on April 9, 2014, in the former City of Halifax and is no longer an outside member as a result of the MLA Remuneration Review Panel Report of April 9, 2014, may claim the cost of moving the contents of the member’s apartment to the member’s primary residence.
(2) A claim pursuant to this Section must be paid from the member’s franking and travel allowance.
