Lake Midway Provincial Park Designation
made under Section 8 of the
Provincial Parks Act
R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367
O.I.C. 81-1036 (August 18, 1981), N.S. Reg. 104/81
The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and Forests dated the 11th day of August, A.D., 1981, and pursuant to Section 2 of Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act, is pleased to:
(a) constitute all that area of land situate at Lake Midway, in the County of Digby, Province of Nova Scotia, owned by Her Majesty in the right of the Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial Park, the said area of land being described in Schedule “A” and shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Lands Record Plan No. E-13-9 marked Schedule “B”, both Schedules attached to and forming part of the report and recommendation, and
(b) declare that the park shall be known by the name of “Lake Midway Provincial Park”.
Schedule “A”
All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate lying and being at Lake Midway in the County of Digby, Province of Nova Scotia as shown outlined in red on the copy of Crown Land Records Plan No. E-13-9 marked Schedule “B” attached hereto and being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at Iron Post Number (1) as shown on said plan, said post situate where the mean high water mark of Midway Lake intersects the southeastern boundary of Highway No. 217;
From thence (by astronomic bearings) northeasterly 150.83 feet along the southeastern boundary of Highway No. 217, to the end of a curve, said boundary being the arc of a curve to the right having a radius of 2409.82 feet, said point being N 53° 06' 18" E, 150.81 feet from the place of beginning;
Thence N 53° 52' 01" E, 931.34 feet continuing along the southeastern boundary of Highway No. 217 to a point being the beginning of a curve to the left having a radius of 7517.37 feet;
Thence northeasterly 438.29 feet along the arc of said curve to Iron Post Number (2), situate N 52° 09' 44" E, 438.23 feet from the last described point, said Iron Post also being situate where the mean high water mark of Midway Lake intersects the southeastern boundary of Highway No. 217;
Thence southwesterly 1610 feet more or less along the mean high water mark of Midway Lake to the place of beginning.
The above described parcel contains 3.6 acres more or less.
