The strength of a community can often be measured by the commitment of its volunteers. Nova Scotia Citizens on Patrol is a volunteer-based group committed to supporting police agencies with all aspects of public safety. Patrolling thousands of kilometers every year, the volunteers work together to patrol trouble spots in their community and report suspicious activities to police. Additionally, they carry out a range of other volunteer functions, including operating radar reader boards to help slow traffic and warning drivers to lock vehicles during busy holiday seasons.
