Solemnization of Marriage Fee Regulations
made under Section 33 of the
Solemnization of Marriage Act

1 These regulations may be cited as the Solemnization of Marriage Fee Regulations.
Marriage license fee
2 The fee to be paid for a marriage license shall be $132.70.

Amount retained by issuer
3 The amount to be retained by an issuer of a marriage license out of the fee to be collected by the issuer for the marriage license shall be $18.65.

4 The fee to be charged by a judge for the solemnization of a marriage in the judge's chambers or office or in a courtroom shall be $97.60.

Justice of the Peace’s fee
5 The fee to be charged by a justice of the peace for the solemnization of a marriage in a court or judge’s chambers shall be $97.60.
