IMAGE INFORMATION

Peter Wilmot poses outside his little house on the Millbrook Reserve, Truro, with the skull and antlers of a moose he shot when in his eighties. He was very proud of this feat. Wilmot was born at Pictou Landing, N.S., and baptised on St. Anne's Day, 26 July 1826. Formerly chief at Pictou Landing, he spent his last years at Truro. Clara Dennis, the photographer, interviewed him on various occasions for the Halifax Herald. He died 27 December 1932.
