Mike Martin, a Mi'kmaq trapper born in Newfoundland in 1908, demonstrates the art of calling a moose, using a 'trumpet' of rolled-up birchbark. His audience is, left to right: Ruth Holmes Whitehead, Harold F. McGee, Jr., and Bernie Francis. Mike Martin died at Halifax, 19 November 1990.
