Isaac Paul, son of Captain Peter Paul, lived near Morris Lake, Halifax County, N.S.He died circa 1898 of tuberculosis. This portrait of him, signed at lower right "Joe Cope, photographer," is the only known remaining photo by the first Mi'kmaq professional photographer, Joseph C. Cope.
