Esther's mother was Mary Cecelia Devoe Phillips, a Maliseet from Woodstock, NB. Esther is standing in front of a log cabin, and is smoking a pipe. One of a series of eight (1998.8.1-8) donated to the Nova Scotia Museum by Richard Dyer. This is a photo of his mother's sister.
