Curaca - 1917

Halifax Harbour


This photograph shows the bow of the steamship Curaca sticking out of the water at Tufts Cove in Dartmouth after the Halifax Explosion. Blown across the harbour and sunk while loading horses, only one man of the 46 men aboard survived the blast.
