Description

Story

Many of the crew were saved by the efforts of local resident Burt Spencer, who at risk to his own life, repeatedly dove into the waters between the wreck and the shore pulling men to safety. Canadian Navy divers removed much of the munitions still scattered on the bottom in the 1970s, however much still remains and represents a danger to careless divers.
