Shubenacadie Sam Predicts More Winter

When is winter going to end? That's the question on many people's minds this time of year. And today, Groundhog Day, is the day they look for the answer.

Shubenacadie Sam, the official groundhog at the provincial Wildlife Park in Shubenacadie, saw his shadow today when he emerged from his burrow. That means six more weeks of winter, although who can complain about the weather we have had so far this year.

If Shubenacadie Sam's correct prediction of an early spring last year is anything to go by, this year's forecast should be accurate.
