NATURAL RESOURCES--Provincial Parks Open Friday, June 21

Eleven provincial campgrounds operated by the Department of Natural Resources will open on Friday, June 21.

The campgrounds include Amherst Shore, Cumberland Co.; Laurie, Halifax Co.; Valleyview, Annapolis Co.; Smileys, Hants Co.; Salt Springs and Caribou/Munroes, Pictou Co.; Salsman and Boylston, Guysborough Co.; Whycocomagh, Inverness Co.; Mira River, Cape Breton Co.; and Battery, Richmond Co.

The Department of Natural Resources operates 21 campgrounds throughout Nova Scotia.

The other 10 campgrounds opened May 17. They include Graves Island and Rissers Beach, Lunenburg Co.; The Islands, Shelburne Co.; Cape Chignecto, Cumberland Co.; Five Islands, Colchester Co.; Blomidon, Kings Co.; Thomas Raddall, Queens Co.; Ellenwood, Yarmouth Co.; Dollar Lake and Porters Lake, Halifax Co.
