Residents of Port Hawkesbury and surrounding area are invited to celebrate the opening of Access Nova Scotia on Friday, Oct. 25.

Access Nova Scotia is a one-stop location for provincial government services. "The opening is a confirmation of our goal to better serve the people of the Strait area by providing a spacious, customer- friendly location in the centre of the town of Port Hawkesbury," said Joyce MacDougall, eastern region manager of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations. "It's an improvement for staff and our customers."

Rodney MacDonald, Minister of Tourism and Culture, will open the new Access Nova Scotia Centre at 400 Reeves St., at 11 a.m. in the former Vocational School in Port Hawkesbury. The public is invited to attend.
