Parks are for People Location Changed

The Department of Natural Resources' Parks are for People event originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Taylor Head Provincial Park, Halifax Regional Municipality, will now be held at Clam Harbour Beach Provincial Park. Taylor Head Provincial Park is closed due to damage sustained as a result of Hurricane Juan.

The cranberry pick and hike will take place at Clam Harbour Beach Provincial Park beginning at 10 a.m. Car pools will leave from the Museum of Natural History in Halifax at 8:30 a.m. Participants can also meet at the entrance to the park at 10 a.m. Everyone is asked to bring containers, lunch and waterproof footwear.

Parks are for People is a co-operative effort by government agencies, recreation clubs, community organizations and interested individuals. The program is co-ordinated by the Department of Natural Resources.
