Amherst Access Centre to Open Friday

SERVICE N.S./MUNICIPAL RELATIONS--Amherst Access Centre to Open Friday


Residents of Amherst and surrounding area are invited to celebrate the official opening on Friday, Nov. 21 of the area's new Access Nova Scotia centre.

Access Nova Scotia offers a one-stop location for Registry of Motor Vehicle services such as driver licensing and vehicle registration, Residential Tenancies, Debtor Assistance, and selected government publications. An information kiosk is located in the centre so people can check on provincial government employment opportunities and various government programs.

"The official opening recognizes our commitment to better serving the people of the Amherst area in a spacious, customer friendly location," said Wendy Gillis, regional manager for Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations. "It's a big improvement for staff and customers."

Economic Development Minister Ernest Fage, on behalf of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations Minister Barry Barnet, will officially open the new Access Nova Scotia centre in the Super Store Mall, South Albion Street, on Friday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m.
