Increased Service Hours for Shelburne Registry of Motor Vehicles

Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations (Oct. 2000 - March 2014)

Residents of Shelburne County will have access to Registry of Motor Vehicle services more often.

The Registry of Motor Vehicles office at 136 Hammond St. will be increasing its weekly hours of service to include Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., beginning May 10.

"We are improving access to these important services in rural areas whenever we can," said Richard Hurlburt, Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations.

The office is currently open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The new service hours will provide additional opportunity for customers to conduct their Registry of Motor Vehicle business in their own community. Services available include vehicle registration, driver licencing and driving tests.

The Registry of Motor Vehicle office is currently located in the same building as the Land Registration Office. In order to provide a more accessible location for customers, the department will soon be establishing a new location in Shelburne for both services. Planning for the new facility is underway and a tender will be issued in the near future.
