Minister Receives Conflict of Interest Decision

Attorney General and Minister of Justice Murray Scott has received a response from Conflict of Interest Commissioner Merlin Nunn regarding a call he made to the director of public prosecutions in October.

In a letter dated Dec. 20, Commissioner Nunn wrote: "I have no hesitation in advising you that no breach of the Ministerial Code of Conduct has occurred in this matter nor should your conduct be subject to criticism under any of the provisions of the Conflict of Interest Act."

Mr. Scott asked Commissioner Nunn to look into the matter on Nov. 6.
