Deadline for Nova Scotia Art Bank Applications Approaching

Tourism, Culture and Heritage (Dec. 2003 - Jan. 2011)

Nova Scotia artists have until Thursday, Nov. 15, to submit applications for the purchase of their work by the Nova Scotia Art Bank.

"The art bank is one more way we are supporting the arts and culture sector in our province," said Tourism, Culture and Heritage Minister Bill Dooks. "Through the art bank, the work of Nova Scotian artists and craftspeople receives valuable exposure and inspires others to develop their own creative talents."

The Nova Scotia Art Bank purchase program has supported the careers of local artists for 32 years. Today, it has a permanent collection of about 2,000 works of art, which are displayed in government offices throughout the province and in special gallery exhibitions across the country.
