South Bishop Road in Coldbrook, between civic numbers 1464 and 1483, will be closed to facilitate structural repairs to the Jackson Bridge from Monday, Oct. 29 until Friday, Nov. 23.
Detour route from Cambridge Road to Trunk 1 to Ritson Drive 1.6 kilometres, Ritson Drive to Ronald Drive 0.5 kilometres, Ronald Drive to Loretta Drive 0.85 kilometres, Loretta to South Bishop 1.4 kilometres.

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: McEwan Bridge - Trunk 1
McEwans Bridge over McEwans Brook on Trunk 1, about four kilometres west of Middleton, will be closed for replacement until Monday, Nov. 5.
A detour is provided on Mount Hanley Road, Clarence Road and Elliott Road.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Highway 104, West River No. 2 Bridge
Highway 104 is reduced to one lane at West River No. 2 bridge for repairs until Monday, Nov. 19.
Traffic control consists of control persons. Traffic signals are expected to be in place on Tuesday. Oct. 23.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 4
Trunk 4, from East Bay west for about four kilometres to the Ski Ben Eoin area, will have one-lane closures until Friday, Nov. 30 for paving and construction of a left-turning lane into the golf and ski area.

Burnside Drive, from Commodore Drive to the ramp at Highway 111 and the eastbound ramp from Highway 111 to Burnside Drive, about one kilometre, will have lane closures at various locations and times for widening, gravelling, signal installation, paving and repaving until Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008.

The Lewis Lake Bridge structure on Trunk 1 is reduced to one lane for bridge repairs until Friday, Nov. 16.
Traffic control consists of traffic light and jersey barriers. Bridge lane narrows to 3.5 metres. Wide loads are advised to use alternate route. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Sedgiwich Bridge near the intersection of the Archibald Brook Road and the Higginsville Road, will be closed until Wednesday, Oct. 31, for replacement.
Traffic will be routed through the site over a one-lane temporary bridge controlled with traffic lights.

Big Gut Bridge on Route 348 near Pictou Landing is open to motorists. A temporary bridge will accommodate one-lane traffic and is controlled by traffic signals. The bridge width restriction is 4.2 metres. Motorists should proceed with caution.

Black Brook Bridge on Route 347 (East River, St. Mary's) will be closed for replacement until Friday, Nov. 30.
A temporary detour is available parallel to the existing structure. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution when travelling though the construction zone.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104 Detour
Highway 104, east of exit 26 near New Glasgow will have a detour in place to allow for the installation of a recreational trail underpass until Monday, Nov. 12.
A 200-metre detour parallel to the highway has been constructed to carry traffic around the work zone, but drivers should reduce speed and use extra caution in the area.

Millers Ford Bridge, over the West River on a connecting road between Saltsprings Loop and West River East Side Road, will be closed for replacement until Wednesday, Nov. 14.

Traffic on Trunk 4 from the end of Highway 104 at River Tillard, east for four kilometres to the St. Peters Canal Bridge, will be restricted to one lane until Wednesday Oct. 31.
Traffic control people and a pilot vehicle will be on hand to assist traffic safely through the construction zone. Drivers should travel with extra care in the area.
