Tourism Information Sessions to be held Across Province
Tourism operators and industry leaders will have an opportunity to provide input into the annual tourism plan through a series of meetings this spring.
In partnership with regional tourism industry associations, the Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage is hosting another round of Let's Talk Tourism sessions across the province. A number of sessions are usually held each year.
"We have a long and successful history of working in partnership with the industry to strengthen tourism across the province and grow our economy," said Bill Dooks, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage. "Let's Talk Tourism is one of the many ways in which we work with our industry partners, sharing information and listening to concerns and suggestions."
Participants will get progress updates on the tourism plan -- New Realities, New Directions -- and the new Nova Scotia tourism brand launched in November at the Tourism Industry Association of Nova Scotia conference. Sessions will also feature a brief update on the proposed repeal of the Tourist Accommodations Act.
