Highland Village Hosts Òrain as t-Earrach

Song and history come together at the Nova Scotia Highland Village Museum in Iona, Victoria, Co., for Òrain as t-Earrach or Songs in Spring on Saturday, May 17, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in celebration of Gaelic Awareness Month.

Jim Watson, the museum's manager of interpretation, will lead this special Gaelic song workshop. Mr. Watson, an expert with Cape Breton's Gaelic song heritage, will sing milling, sailing and love songs and humorous compositions among others, in Gaelic in the traditional style.
