Justice Receives Occupational Health and Safety Report

The Department of Justice received a report of a workplace inspection from the Department Of Labour and Workforce Development today, May 9.

The 15-page report and 14 orders are being reviewed by department staff and a response will be issued when the review is completed.

Corrections officials will take immediate action on two compliance orders. One will be to share the report and the orders with the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee members. The report and compliance orders will also be posted at Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility in Burnside.
