Government Equipment Auction

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)

Summertime and the bidding is easy.

The annual auction of used government equipment will take place Saturday, June 21, at the Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal Miller Lake yard, 107 Perrin Dr., Fall River.

"We expect to have more than 200 lots of things like graders, snow plows, dump trucks and many other kinds of heavy equipment," said Scott Miller, financial services officer, Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal. "We'll also be selling many lots on behalf of HRM."

A link to the latest list is posted on the department website at www.gov.ns.ca/tran/govservices/govauction.asp . The equipment comes from provincial government departments as well as the Halifax Regional Municipality and private sources. Mr. Miller said all items have been well used and the auctioneer will clearly state the condition of the equipment before bids are taken.

The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Items can be viewed before the auction on Friday, June 20, from noon to 5 p.m and Saturday, June 21, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The auction will be held rain or shine and be conducted by Burden Auctioneers and Liquidators Ltd. Payment must be made by cash, Visa or Mastercard, debit, or cheque (with bank letter). Purchased items must be removed by 5 p.m., Tuesday, June 24.
