Government Surplus Auction Scheduled

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)

The province will hold its first surplus equipment auction of the year on Saturday, Feb. 7.

Items to be auctioned may include numerous vehicles such as pickup trucks, four-wheelers and tractors, as well as snow blowers, wood-working equipment, lawn mowers, compressors, welding equipment, wooden benches, and assorted file and map cabinets.

A partial list of items and photos is posted on the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal's website at www.gov.ns.ca/tran/govservices/govauction.asp . More items will be added during the coming week.

The auction will be held at 10 a.m. the department's warehouse at 10 Acadia St. in Dartmouth. The items can be viewed between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

The auction will be conducted by A and A Auctioneering. Payment must be made by cash or auctioneer-approved cheque. Credit cards and debit cards will not be accepted. Money earned through the auction is used to help pay down the provincial debt.
