Maritime Museum Announces Winner of LEGO Prize Draw

Tourism, Culture and Heritage (Dec. 2003 - Jan. 2011)

The Nova Scotia Lego Users Group and the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic have proven the old adage, it you build it, they will come.

More than 7,000 people have visited the LEGO: City by the Sea display since its debut Dec. 9. The 225 sq.-ft. model city was built by talented volunteers from the Nova Scotia LEGO Users Group (NovaLUG).

This weekend is the final chance for visitors to enjoy the display as it closes Sunday, Feb. 8.

Part of the display was a prize draw for three Lego building sets. Five-year-old Charlotte Adams, of Scotsburn, Pictou Co., was randomly selected from 2,154 entries.

The Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, 1675 Lower Water St., Halifax, will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
