Tenders Called for Yarmouth County Paving Project

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)

Residents and visitors in the Pubnico area will soon be travelling on two improved road sections thanks to a tender call by the department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal.

The tender calls for repaving on Route 335 from the intersection of Rock Road south for 3.7 kilometres to the end of the existing pavement, and on Dennis Point Road from the intersection of Spur Road for 1.1 kilometres to the road's end.

"Whether drivers are in the Pubnico area for business or pleasure they'll benefit from this paving project," said Brooke Taylor, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal. "Upgrading Nova Scotia's highways is important for road safety and the economy."

The department's highways division manages more than 23,000 kilometres of roads in Nova Scotia. It maintains 4,100 bridges and operates seven provincial ferries. Staff provide services from district offices in Bridgewater, Bedford, Truro and Sydney.
