COLCHESTER COUNTY: Wilson Mountain Road

Wilson Mountain Road near Greenfield will be closed, except to local traffic, for chip sealing from Monday, May 11 until Friday, May 30.

Traffic control people will be on site. Work takes place from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Southampton Road

Southampton Road, from the Amherst west town line west to Route 302, about 9 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for graveling and asphalt concrete paving from Monday, May 11 until Friday, July 31.

Traffic control people will be on site. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Causeway Lane Closure

Traffic on the Canso Causeway will be reduced to one lane to allow for shoulder repairs.

Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Traffic control people and signs are on site. The work is scheduled to be completed on Friday, May 29.

Drivers using the causeway should allow for extra time during the construction period.

HANTS COUNTY: Eastbound Ramp, Exit 8, Highway 101

Starting Wednesday, May 13, traffic on the eastbound on and off ramps of Highway 101 at Exit 8 near Hantsport will be reduced to one lane to allow for bridge painting.

Work will take place from sunrise to sunset each day. Traffic will be controlled by traffic control people and signs. The work is scheduled to be completed on Wednesday, June 3.

Drivers using the connector road to the eastbound lanes of Highway 101 at Exit 8 should allow extra time during this period.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Route 252

Route 252 at Skye Glen will be reduced to one lane for clearing and draining from Monday, May 11 until Tuesday, June 30.

Traffic control people will be on site. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Highway 101 west of Exit 22, about 11.5 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for guardrail replacement, asphalt concrete milling, patching and paving until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 4

Trunk 4, from Greenhill Drive to 800 metres past Meadows Road, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Monday, Aug. 31.

CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Trunk 4

Trunk 4 near Ben Eoin will be reduced to one lane for graveling, grading and paving until Monday, Aug. 31.

Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. A pilot vehicle will guide drivers through the construction zone.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Trunk 6

Trunk 6, Section 1, through downtown Tatamagouche, and Section 2 from Cumberland County line to Bayhead, will be reduced to one lane for cold milling and asphalt paving until Thursday, July 31.

Traffic control people and a pilot vehicle will be on site. Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Lower Maccan Road is open to local traffic only, because of a culvert washout.

Drivers should travel with extra caution.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Route 242

Route 242 from Route 302/242 at Maccan west to Lower Maccan Road, about 8.8 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for repaving until Friday, July 31.

Traffic control people are on site. Work takes place from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Melford Brook Bridge

The Melford Brook Bridge on Route 344 at Middle Melford is closed. A two-lane detour bridge will be used until a permanent bridge is completed.

The speed limit has been reduced to 60 km/h at the site and advance warning signs are in place.

Reduced weight restrictions are no longer in effect at this crossing.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 102

Highway 102, southbound, will have a one lane closure from Exit 4B to Exit 3, including ramps for about 4.6 kilometres, to replace the jersey barrier, widen, patch and repave the highway until Friday, July 31.

HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 107

Highway 107, from 318 Overpass to Akerley Blvd., including ramps, about 11 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for paving from until Wednesday, Sept. 30.

Traffic control people are on site. Work takes place from sunrise to sunset. No work between 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. westbound and no work between 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. eastbound.

Route 336, from the intersection with Route 224 to the Colchester County line, about 9.7 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for repaving and drainage improvement until Monday, Aug. 31.

Route 215 from Hiltz Road to William Conley Road, between Pembroke and Walton, will have traffic interruptions for re-paving until Monday, Aug. 31.

Route 236 from Route 354 in Kennetcook to Bishop Road, for about 6.4 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for paving until Monday, Aug. 31.

Doyle's Bridge on the East Margaree Road will be closed until further notice. A detour is available on East Margaree Crossroad.

The Grand Etang Bridge will occasionally be reduced to one lane until Saturday, May 30, to replace the bridge.

Murrays Hill Bridge, which crosses the Mabou River near Rankinville Road, is closed until summer because of flooding damage.

KINGS COUNTY: Glebe Bridge

Glebe Bridge on Route 201 will have a 2.7-metre height restriction and a 15-tonne weight restriction until further notice.

KINGS COUNTY: Hantsport

Kates Bridge on Tannery Road in Hantsport is closed for repairs until further notice.

A detour is available on Avon Street.

KINGS COUNTY: Highway 101

Highway 101 between Exit 10 and Exit 11 will have one lane closures for repaving until Monday, Aug. 31.

Delays are expected with stop times of up to 30 minutes depending on traffic volumes. There is an alternate route on Trunk 1 at Exit 10 at Grand Pre and Exit 11 at Greenwich.

KINGS COUNTY: Hillaton Road

Hillaton Road will be closed for bridge repairs until further notice.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Highway 103

Highway 103, east from Exit 10 for bout 9.5 kilometres, will be reduced to one lane for cold-planing and paving until Saturday, May 30.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Trunk 3, Gold River Bridge

A one-lane bridge is open on Trunk 3 between Mahone Bay and Chester while the new Gold River Bridge is being built. Work is expected to continue until August. Traffic lights are in place.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: Trunk 10

Trunk 10, for about 700 metres, will have alternating lane closures for sewer installation until Wednesday, July 15.

Traffic control consist of flashing lights, barrels and traffic cones. Work takes place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

A detour is available on Route 331 and King Street in Bridgewater.

PICTOU COUNTY: Highway 104

Highway 104 between Exit 29 at Barney's River, Pictou County to the Antigonish County Line will be reduced to one lane for road improvements until Tuesday, June 30.

Delays are expected. There will be signage, flashing light units and traffic control people on site.

Work will take place from Monday to Thursday from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Fridays from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Highway 104 access on Young Road in Pine Tree will be closed until further notice for the Highway 104 twinning project.

The road remains open to local residents but has no exit.
