Surplus Auction Scheduled for July 18

Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2021)

The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal can not change the weather, but it can help people get a good deal on used mowing equipment to assist in clearing all the grass the rain has encouraged.

Various types of lawn mowers are among the items available at the government surplus auction to be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 18.

In addition to ride-on and push mowers, the auction also includes numerous vehicles, two boats, an outboard motor, an assortment of commercial kitchen equipment, and much more.

A partial list of items and photos is posted on the department's website at www.gov.ns.ca/tran/hottopics/auction.asp . More items will be added during the coming week.

The auction will be held at the department's warehouse at 10 Acadia St. in Dartmouth. The items can be viewed between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.

The auction will be conducted by A and A Auctioneering. Payment must be made by cash or auctioneer-approved cheque. Credit cards and debit cards will not be accepted. Money earned through the auction is used to help pay down the provincial debt.
