The province is looking for the public's help with an unsolved case involving a missing person last seen almost eight years ago.

The Department of Justice will offer a cash reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individuals responsible in the missing persons case of Rhonda Joyce Louise Wilson of Kentville, Kings Co.

Ms. Wilson was last seen on the night of Aug. 7, 2002, when she left her Kentville home to go for a walk and did not return. Ms. Wilson, a 31-year-old mother of three, has not been seen or heard from since.

During the course of the investigation there have been several possible sightings of Ms. Wilson, however, none were ever substantiated. To date, there has been no activity on her bank accounts.

"We urge anyone with any information related to Ms. Wilson's disappearance to please come forward," said Justice Minister Ross Landry. "We all share a responsibility in terms of building safe communities and no information is too trivial."

Anyone with information about this case can call the Department of Justice, Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, toll-free at 1-888-710-9090.

Those who come forward with information will be expected to provide their name and contact information. In addition, they may be called to testify in court. All calls to the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program will be recorded.

More information on this case, and other cases, can be found on the Department of Justice website at www.gov.ns.ca/just .
